The National Education Policy 2020 considering the importance of early childhood care and education developed Balvatika’s for children from age 3 to 6 years. Balvatika III is for children between age 5 to 6. A maximum of 40 students is allowed in each class. The classroom are airy and spacious with a play area and toys which are eco-friendly.
Balvatika III focuses on the 5 domains of development in a child of ie, Physical development, motor and vital development, Socio and emotional development, Cognitive and language development, creative and aesthetic development. Balvatika III follows a play based curriculum with reference to the ‘Unmukh’ handbook and ‘Anand’ activity book. This include activities for children focusing on their holistic development. Balvatika III activities are mainly indore and outdoor games, puppetry, stories, rhymes, art activities, simple science and mathematical experiments and experiences etc. And also special days like colours day, fruits and vegetables day, etc are celebrated. Regional festivals and cultural activities are also part of Balvatika curriculum.
